Role Overview
The Senior Project Manager will deliver expert project management consultancy services to key clients, particularly in the Civil Nuclear Sector. Acting as a key part of delivery teams, you will lead projects or workstreams, support programme-level objectives, and provide strategic advice whilst ensuring compliance with civil nuclear industry standards and client expectations. You will also support the development and implementation of internal project management practices within Ada Mode.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Manage the delivery of client projects or assigned workstreams, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide high-quality project management solutions.
- Programme Support: Support the overall Programme Manager in coordinating project portfolios, ensuring alignment with overall programme objectives.
- Planning and Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, manage dependencies, and provide input into overarching programme schedules.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify risks and issues, escalate as necessary to the Programme Manager, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Compliance and Assurance: Ensure all project activities meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Programme Manager, other project managers, and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates, dashboards, and detailed reports to the Programme Manager and client stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in project management.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects or workstreams on time and within budget.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build client trust.
- Experience with project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting programme-level activities in a highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with UK nuclear regulatory bodies (e.g., ONR, EA).
- Consultancy experience and an understanding of working under a Programme Manager’s leadership.
